I disagree, Google are savvy. not to mention uber-forward thinking and if the google plus social media platform fails, c'est la vie they tried failed and yet will, no doubt learn from the experience and bounce back.Or as Winston Churchill said: Success is not final,Failure is not fatal it is the Courage to continue that counts.

i have been so bored with facebook for so long that anything offering a fresh clean social experience online has to be worth a test.

Remember Dr Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham?!
I do so like them Sam I am !

I agree pay-per-click is an effective method of promotion, try asking a publication or broadcast station to show your ad. without paying, saying you'll just give them a small payment everytime someone responds. You can imagine the reaction!
The problem with Google adwords is that it is so expensive. The fastest growing method of viewing the net is via a mobile device and pay-per-click via mobile marketing is even more effective, even more targeted and a fraction of the cost of adwords.

I think WordPress is a great CMS from which to build a site, however, there are issues. The biggest issue is the versatility. WordPress isn't an easy platform to customize if you're doing some heavy development work.

I actually think a better platform to use is Drupal. I won't deny that it is more timely to setup and more difficult to understand. However, over the long haul, if you want a flexible platform from which to build a corporate website, you need that type of flexibility built in. Drupal is for the hard core, long term, development friendly CMS, where as WordPress can pretty much be managed by anyone.

PS - your comment box on your blog is acting funny, I can't use my arrow keys to move up and down throughout my writing... very strange...
